Terms of Use

Last updated: March 2023

Before you begin using 1RPC+, we ask that you take a few minutes to read the Terms of Service below.

1. 1RPC+ Terms of Use

Automata (“Automata” or “we” or “us” or “our”) provides access to a 1RPC+, an RPC relay (the “Relay”) at https://www.1rpc.io (the “Site”) which enables you to use transaction sanitizers (as defined below) to interact with the blockchain, subject to the following terms of use (the “Terms of Use”).

We may amend or modify these Terms of Use at any time at our sole discretion, and will let you know by posting the revised Terms on the Site, or through other methods of communication which we deem reasonable. The revised Terms of Use will be effective as of the time they are posted but will not apply retroactively unless otherwise stated. Your continued use of the Relay after the posting of the revised Terms of Use constitutes your acceptance of such revised Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any such modification, then you may not use the Relay.

2. Description of our Services

2.1 About 1RPC. 1RPC is a RPC relay that operates as a proxy layer to shield user data prior to its transmission to existing RPC endpoints. It effectively eliminates any potential for metadata exposure and leakage, and can be deployed by users with just one click.

2.2 About 1RPC+. Apart from existing functionalities on 1RPC, 1RPC+ enables the usage of transaction sanitizers that are specifically designed to prevent phishing attempts or other forms of fraudulent activities.

2.3 About Transaction Sanitizers. Transaction sanitizers are custom rules that define the ways users interact with the blockchain. These include, but are not limited to, user-created blacklist or whitelist address databases, recipient validation on Uniswap, address scanning enabled by third-party service providers, and explorer contract verification on official blockchain explorers.

By using 1RPC+ and its transaction sanitizers, users acknowledge and agree that the Relay is designed to prevent potentially fraudulent or malicious transactions from being executed. As a result, it is possible that some legitimate transactions may be inadvertently blocked or fail. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from any failed transaction or from the failure of the Relay to transmit or receive any data or information related to a transaction.

3. Access and use

3.1 Restrictions on use. User is responsible for all activities occurring under their account, and for complying with all laws and regulations applicable to the user’s usage of the Relay. User must also notify Automata promptly upon (a) becoming aware of any unauthorized use of any user account (or any other breach of security of the Service), and (b) becoming aware of, and make a reasonable effort to stop any unauthorized copying, distribution, or misuse of any aspect of the Relay.

3.2 Service Levels and Support. 1RPC+ shall periodically monitor the Relay to optimize performance thereof, and shall use commercially reasonable efforts to minimize any downtime, other than for scheduled maintenance or downtime caused by reasons beyond our reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, acts of any governmental body, war, insurrection, sabotage, armed conflict, terrorism, embargo, fire, flood, strike or other labor disturbance, unavailability of or interruption or delay in telecommunications or third-party services, or virus attacks or hackers.

3.3 Third-party interactions. 1RPC+ may provide access to third-party services (“Third Party Services”) through the use of transaction sanitizers. We provide access to Third Party Services only as a convenience, do not have control over their content, and do not recommend, warrant or endorse, and are not responsible for the availability or legitimacy of the content, products, services, or assets on or accessible from those Third Party Services (including any related websites, resources or links displayed therein). By utilizing these services, you hereby consent and agree to the disclosure of the necessary data to the Third Party for the purpose of providing the aforementioned services. You are solely responsible for any fees or costs associated with accessing Third Party Services.
